Custom Enclosure Specifications |
WENIG offers a complete line of custom enclosure components. Note the design feature that allows the stool tops and front panels to be removed at the verticle joints in the stationary mullions - a valuable advantage for accesibility to radiator or fan coil units as well as interchangeability of front panels.

SCOPE OF WORK
The work shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials and fasteners necessary for a complete installation for all air conditioning units and/or convector enclosures as shown on drawings or specified. Enclosures to be of the type as manufactured by The Wenig Company.
WORK NOT INCLUDED
Unless specifically specified herein or shown on drawings, the following items shall not be included: insulation, sound deadening, collar connections, finished painting or hoisting.
MATERIALS
Enclosures to be the best quality zinc phosphatized steel, free form scale, rust and other internal or surface defects that will form flat and true for all sections. Unless otherwise specified, stools and removable front panels, mullions and all supporting framework to be 16 gauges.
WORKMANSHIP
All work shall be performed by skilled mechanics in accordance with the best trade practices. All fastenings to be of the concealed type. All supporting mullions to be adjustable in height. Front panels are to be removable by the lift method and are to be rattle proof. The enclosure shall be properly reinforced to support a load of 200 lbs. per square foot without appreciable deflection. All discharge grilles to be of the unit type and shall be either stamped steel or extruded aluminum.
INSTALLATION
Enclosures to be set in position are shown on the drawings with level tops and plumb fronts. All enclosure members shall be rigidly attached to adjoining construction. Installation shall be by skilled mechanics in accordance with the best trade practices and under the enclosure manufacturer’s direction.
SHOP DRAWINGS
Shop drawings showing all necessary details and information shall be submitted to the architect and /or engineer for approval prior to fabrication.
